Is this for you?

For people who want a focused approach to recurring muscular discomfort and restricted movement.

  • Neck, shoulder, back, or hip tension that keeps returning
  • Lingering muscular tightness following an injury, when appropriate for massage
  • Difficulty reaching, turning, or moving comfortably
  • Repetitive strain from work, training, or everyday activities
  • A personalized plan with follow-up based on your response

What makes it different

  • Assessment first: discuss your history and check comfortable movement before choosing techniques.
  • Specific hands-on work: combine trigger point, myofascial, and stretching techniques as appropriate.
  • Reassessment: revisit your movement goals and adjust your next session to your response.

Goal: Support more comfortable movement and help you manage recurring muscular tension.

How a session works

Step 1

Quick intake

We discuss your muscular concerns, relevant history, prior care, and the activities you want to return to.

Step 2

Assessment

We check comfortable movement and areas of muscular tension to guide the session. This is not a medical diagnosis.

Step 3

Hands-on work

Targeted massage and assisted movement are adapted to your tolerance, followed by a discussion of next steps.

FAQ

How is orthopedic massage different from a relaxation massage?
The session centers on a specific muscular concern or movement goal. We discuss your history, assess comfortable movement, and use focused hands-on techniques. Pressure is adapted to you; deeper is not always better.
How many sessions do people usually do?
Follow-up depends on your goals and response. Some clients start weekly or biweekly, then space visits further apart. We review the plan together rather than committing you to a fixed number of sessions.
What should I wear?
Wear something comfortable. You’ll be draped appropriately. If we use movement-based assessment, athletic wear can be helpful.
Do you take insurance?
Typically no. You can request a receipt if you use HSA/FSA or submit out-of-network (check your plan).
What’s your cancellation policy?
Appointments may be rescheduled or cancelled with at least 24 hours’ notice. Sessions cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full.

This policy helps preserve availability and ensures fair access to limited session times.
